    Howdy,

    I’m asking this here as it seems to be a core system question. I’m probably overthinking this, but I’m assuming that with the new armor rules (armor subtracting directly from damage, and existing armor values in PU / QS are halved) … that shields don’t have any change to their currently published Hits.

    I don’t think they get adjusted, since they don’t work quite the same as armor … but you know what they say about assuming.

    You’re correct: the armor rules and stats haven’t changed.

    Awesome – thanks.

    I hadn’t caught that the current version of Quicksilver is in fact v2.0 (the errata mentions adjusting #s for v1); so the armor protection #s are already correct … just need to drop the use of the armor table.

    Ack! My previous response contained a typo. The SHIELD rules and stats haven’t changed.

    The current version of Quicksilve is “2nd edition”, but it still uses the old/out of date armor rules and armor stats.

    Hah! Ok, so:

    1) Shield stats and rules in Quicksilver v2 do not need to change; and
    2) Armor stats in Quicksilver v2 do need to change.

    So … QS p.23: full plate would be 3 / 2 (half the printed values?)?

    Also, halve the values for Helmets (QS p.24)?
